Fashion: A misinterpreted 7-letter word

Fashion: A misinterpreted 7-letter word
Yes, fashion is misinterpreted. We humans tend to be very superficial. It is a common belief that fashion is nothing but your clothes, looks and appearances. It is also all about your new hairstyle or the new bag that you purchased at Vanities. How often we hear this

“Wow! He/She is so handsome/beautiful. He/she always wears stylish clothes.”

And so on...
Well, I am here to tell you that it is wrong! Fashion is not appearance and looks. It is a quality. It is the way of life. It is how you live, breathe, talk, walk, dance or sing. The way I am sitting while typing this article is also a fashion. No one has a duplicate fashion. Everyone is unique in his/her own sense.

Even Nature has fashion. The leaves are green, the flowers are multi-coloured, the clouds are white and sky is blue. Imagine, if the leaves were red or blue (completely) and flowers were colourless. It would look odd, wouldn’t it? Awry, would be a proper title for such an appearance.

This is because we are accustomed to nature’s pattern. If the colours changed everyday then we would say that Nature is very fashionable and that it likes to change colours.
The way your inner qualities are as important as your outer looks. This is what makes fashion.

Fashion can be found everywhere. Why do you think photographers can produce such beautiful
photographs? It is because they can see the fashion in their surroundings. Something that is very normal for us is a masterpiece to them and they capture it in their lens.

Common man tends to think in a unidirectional way. We have fixed definitions for everything. We define fashion to be something that attracts the eye and ridicule all that does not. We tease and insult those who we do not like and most of the times it is because of the appearance and most importantly the fashion. Fashionable clothes, shoes, looks all define fashion nowadays.

One tends not to look at good qualities. People call those who are kind, respectful, polite and many others as old-fashioned. They tell them that such values do not apply in real-life. ‘Chivalry is nothing, ya know’. But they forget to understand that maybe it is that particular person’s fashion. Maybe it is his/her own personality

See, it is easily defined – Fashion is personality. And personality includes your inner and outer world, your qualities and appearance.

But this type of fashion or mentality isn’t possible without your own confidence. Casting oneself in negative way about oneself tends to reduce your fashion.

YOU HAVE TO BE POSITIVE ON YOURSELF.

I would like to quote a thought by C.Joybell.C
“You can be the most beautiful person in the world and everybody sees light and rainbows when they look at you, but if you yourself don't know it, all of that doesn't even matter. Every second that you spend on doubting your worth, every moment that you use to criticize yourself; is a second of your life wasted, is a moment of your life thrown away. It's not like you have forever, so don't waste any of your seconds, don't throw even one of your moments away.”

This thought alone defines what I want to say.

Lastly, the meaning of fashion (as found on internet):
/ˈfaSHən/
Noun
A popular trend, esp. in styles of dress, ornament, or behavior.

Funny, isn’t it? How behaviour is at the last and placed after an ‘or’ and how other things mentioned above are missing?

Think and rethink about fashion.
